OUR ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS - pt. 1

Ahhh! They’re here and more perfect than I could have ever imagined!

On August 6, we took our engagement photos with Brittany Cruse Photography in the beautiful University of Williamsburg area. Looking back on this day, all I can say is that the entire shoot (or day ;) was truly just so much fun. We purposed to make this day as care free and relaxed as possible. I hope that as we purpose to bring this spirit into our wedding day it will remain the same(🙈!).

It also helps to have the most relaxed and peaceful photographer ever! Brittany is amazing and she’s passionate about what she does and the people she gets to work with. We love her so much and can’t wait to have her there to capture our big day!

Stay tuned for PART 2 of our photos featuring our less formal look!

Swooning!

A little back story… Me and my family were vacationing in Williamsburg this week and Cortland came up to meet us for this day. My sister-in-law, Brittany, and my sister, Hope, were the two people with us for the shoot and I have to give a quick shout out to my sister.

We were out of the hotel we were staying in by 7 a.m to pick Cortland up and be on our way to the University area. Within 10 minutes of starting at this first location my hair completely fell BUT it honestly did not bother me because we were taking our engagement pictures(!), the excitement of that reality alone kept me from thinking about something so minute as my hair. After we finished shooting in this area, we wanted to take a couple of shots around a church we saw as we were heading into town that morning. As we were on our way to the church, my sister had the idea that we should probably do something with my hair considering it was completely gone. We stopped at a Walgreens and bought all of the supplies we needed and went straight to the bathroom. I kid you not, I kneeled on the ground of that Walgreens bathroom while my sister did my up-do for the rest of the shoot! Talk about making memories. LoL. Thank you Hope!

It was SO difficult picking out which photos to add to this post but I hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed taking them! // My dress is sold out completely right now, but I’m linking a few similar options below!
