My first Beauty post is here and it's a long one. So, settle in and let's begin!
Today I'm sharing my top 10 beauty products that are always in my makeup bag! These are the products I keep stocked and honestly could not live without when is comes to everyday makeup. In a later post, I plan to share my quick, simple, everyday makeup using these products but for now lets get into the products themselves and why they are my "ride or dies". You can shop any of these items by simply tapping on the picture!
I do not have enough good things to say about this foundation. It's full coverage and stays in place ALL DAY. I know when you see "full-coverage" you're probably thinking thick and heavy. Wrong! It's not too thick or heavy for a full-coverage foundation. Honestly, its one of the first I've found to not be "too much" of either! My skin type tends to be more oily and this is the best foundation I've ever used for my skin.
This next point is a huge factor in why this foundation is so good. When I'm at school (which is in Florida btw) in all the heat, humidity, and business of college life, this stuff does NOT budge. I can go from 7 AM- 12 AM and it looks just as fresh as it did when I applied it. I know everyone has different skin types but if you're between dry and oily I think this could work for you. So if you're looking for a good full-coverage foundation, I highly encourage you to try it out if you haven't already! *Also, I wear this foundation year round. It looks fresh in any season!*
I've used this concealer for about 2 years now and it is my all-time favorite. I was a loyal Tarte Shape Tape concealer fan for a while but when I tried this, I converted instantly. Why? Let me tell you. No. 1 It is SO smooth. No. 2 It is extremely light yet full-coverage. No. 3 It instantly brightens my face. No. 4 It's easy to apply and doesn't crack throughout the day. So many reasons why I love this concealer but overall its just a great full-coverage, brightening, good-smelling concealer!
The Laura Mercier translucent powder. Where do I even begin? I'm sure you've heard about this by now and how phenomenal it is, so I'll spare you the book I could write about this stuff. Just know that it is the the key to a fresh face if you have oily skin. Or any skin type, IMO! It brightens, blurs, and perfects all in one. It is a little bit more of a splurge, but with the amount I use I only have to buy it twice a year! It is definitely worth the investment to me.
This bronzer is an all-time fav for a few reasons. Its perfectly pigmented, smells amazing, and is the perfect bronzer to add some life to your face year round. I'm naturally fair and this bronzer gives my face natural color without looking orange or harsh. Oh and did I mention it smells amazing!? Trust me. You'll be sniffing it every time you open it.
I've worn this blush for years and can't see myself ever parting with it. It's just a great shade and honestly I wear it year round. I guess some consider it more of a summer shade but for my skin tone, it looks perfect in any season.
I'm not a person that has to have the newest eye shadow pallet. I stick to my basics and to what I know and have grown to love. This palette has been "in my family' for years. It started with my mom, then my sister, (who very much is a person who gushes over new pallets) and about 3 years ago my mom bought this for me and it's been a staple in my makeup collection ever since. I have plenty of other pallets but this is the ONE I take with me wherever I go. If you're looking for a basic, neutral, everyday eye shadow pallet, I highly recommend this one!
I've tried lots of name brand mascaras but this drugstore L'Oreal mascara is THE one I come back to every time. I've gone back and forth from this and other name brand mascaras since I was 14. I finally stopped wasting my money on name brand mascaras because I was disappointed each time and found myself reaching for this one. I've been blessed with naturally long eyelashes but whether you have long or short eyelashes, I would give this a try! The other benefit to this mascara is that it's not super liquidy and it dries really fast. So, mistakes are easy/quick fixes!
This brow pencil is my go-to for quick, clean looking brows. I've used the brow wiz pencil for as long as I can remember. And, when they first came out with this brow definer, I hated it. BUT, I've grown to absolutely love it and prefer it over the thinness of the brow wiz pencil. I also use the Anastasia Clear Brow Gel on top of this to keep my brows in place and let me tell you, that stuff should be renamed "Brow Glue". (lol) But seriously, both of these products are amazing and I love that I can add natural looking definition to my brows in under 60 seconds!
I CANNOT rave enough about Too Faced lipsticks. They are beautiful, extremely creamy (almost feels like butter on your lips), not sticky, last ALL DAY long, and are the one lipstick brand I'm convinced I will never part with. MAC lipsticks have nothing on Too Faced IMO. This shade is one I've had in my makeup collection for years now and I've used it till I had to dig my finger into the tube just to use every last drop. (Yes, it's that good) Another reason why I love this shade so much is because it's so hard to find a pinky nude lipstick that doesn't completely wash me out. This shade is perfect and I wear it year round. If you haven't tried Too Faced lipsticks, you NEED to, asap. You will not regret it!
You may be wondering why I'm adding this into a beauty product post. Honestly, I'd be lying if I said I didn't use Q-tips every.single.day. that I do my makeup. It's something I watched my mom do when I was a little girl and I never fully understood why she ALWAYS had Q-tips in her makeup drawer until now. I use them for wiping off dried mascara, cleaning up fallen eye shadow, and I dip them in makeup remover to clean foundation off of my lips after I'm done applying my makeup. They go everywhere with me. I keep them in my car, my purse, my makeup bag, beside my bed, at my desk. Just thought I'd add these in here because they're definitely a "ride or die' product for me!
If you got through that entire post please leave a comment so I can commend you for your dedication. ;)) I hope you enjoyed reading this. What are some of YOUR "ride or die" beauty products?! Let me know in the comments or by messaging me on any of my social media!
